Do
not Pump Gas May 15th, 2007
|
In April 1997, there was a "gas out" conducted
nationwide in protest of gas prices.
Gasoline prices dropped 30 cents a gallon overnight.
On May 15th 2007, everyone is being asked to not go to a
gas station in protest of High gas prices.
Gas
is now over $3.00 a gallon in most places. The Average car
takes about 20 to 30 dollars to fill up, if not more...Vans
and SUV's 80, to $100.
If
everyone did not go to the pump on the 15th, it would take
more than $2200,000,000.00 (that's BILLION) out of the oil
company's pockets for just one day.
So please do not go to the gas station on May 15th and let's
try to put a dent in the Middle Eastern oil industry for
at least one day.
If
you agree (which I cant see why you wouldn't) send this
to everyone you know!!!
Let's make a difference and protest against these high gas
prices.... buy the gas you need days before the 15 and lets
see if we make a difference.!!
By
doing our little part of avoiding buying gas on May 15 will
speak volumes to the oil companies.
So mark it
on your Calendar, tell everyone and let's tell the oil companies
how we feel about the price of gas!!!
If you can
Copy and paste to a new message to keep forward arrows adding
on.
